Winter has put me in a funk. When I first started this blog, I had a list of ideas for blog posts, things I'd been thinking about for ages and wanted to share with family and friends. Now, my list seems to have exhausted its self, just as I am now exhausted. Not necessarily with blog posts, but with life in general. And not even for any reason! Purely because it is winter and it's cold outside (5 degrees?? What is that??)! When the days are long and dark, all I want to do is curl up by the fire and nap; maybe have some nice chai tea before I drift off...
I am seriously the worst blogger in the history of bloggers! ;) So anyways, Central Oregon just experienced a snow storm for the first time in forever! We got hit with something like 2 feet of snow, coming down non stop on Friday and Saturday this weekend. Schools were closed, people were stuck, cars were crashing all over the state... a wild weekend for sure!
I had a wonderful time playing in the snow this weekend! (After some very stressful drives to and from work first) Naveen was snowed in with us and he and Jasper took it upon themselves to take full advantage of the situation and built an igloo. A pretty nice igloo too! So here are the photos of the event mentioned above.
| We stayed warm inside with movies and beer (root, that is). |
If anyone wanted to get anywhere, they had to brave the roads. Getting stuck was not uncommon, even for those with 4-wheel drive.
A lot of shoveling was done. Often.
The boys had to dig Naveen's car out so he could go home on Sunday.
And provide him with a path out the drive...
So many icicles, everywhere! They seriously could have had Sochi here, I think it's even colder in Central Oregon than Sochi right now....
The dogs in particular loved the snow, although their feet were frozen in a matter of minutes, this didn't hold them back at all!
Marley Mae is having no problem with lethargy in this winter wonderland! :)

It would have been fun to be snowed in. Jason and I were iced in for a couple of days... But you can't build an igloo out of ice...
